Road Trips and Low Carbing

Yesterday we took off on our third road trip of the summer.  I’ve gotten pretty good at packing a cooler with snacks and eating out on the road is easier than I thought.  But staying at a friends house can be more challenging since I’m not in control of the food that’s put on the table.

For yesterday’s 6 hour road trip my cooler consisted of:

Bottled water
Homemade hummus
Celery sticks
Almonds raw

I also brought some food to keep me on track while I’m away from my kitchen:

Low Carb Protein shake
Brancrisp  — a.k.a. Particle Board 🙂
Sugar free Meringues
Sugar free Sesame Halva
Low carb Lilly’s Biscotti
Crystal Lite

Bunless Burger

I wish McDonald’s made something like this Bunless Burger.  But I must say that they make the best salads.  My fav is the Chicken Caesar Salad Yum!!
