P90X Day 3 + Daily Food Log


P90X -Lean – Phase 1
Day 3: PLYO

Slight change in plans, I was in the mood for Plyo today so that’s what I did instead of Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper X.
Plyo really knocks me on my butt every time.  Love it!!!

Breakfast:
1 Coffeee, splenda, (no milk) = 0 Net Carbs
Low Carb Vanilla Protein Shake, 4 strawberries, water, ice= 2 Net Carbs
Total Net Carbs: 2

Lunch:
Taco Salad
5 oz Lean Ground beef = 0 Net Carbs
2 cups Romaine lettuce, 1 TB PC Ceasar dressing = 1 Net Carb
4 Kalamata olives = 0 Net Carbs
2tb Sour cream = 3 Net Carbs
Total Net Carbs: 4 Net Carbs

Dinner:
Low Carb Chicken Soup 2 servings = 4 Net Carbs
Salad, cucumber, oil and vinegar = 2 Net Carbs
Total Net Carbs: 6

Snack:
1 piece Russell Stover Peanut Butter Crunch -No sugar = 6 Net Carbs
1 piece Biscotti-Lilly’s Sugar Free Chocolate = 4 Net Carbs
Sugar free Jello = 0
10 almonds = 1
Salamoie 6 pcs= 2
Parmesan cheese = 1
Total Net Carbs: 14

Total Net Carbs for today :  26
Target for today:  20 Net Carb

Note to self:
SELF!!! Firs time having black coffee with splenda not good.

P90X Day 2 + Daily Food Log



P90X -Lean – Phase 1

Day 2:
Cardio X

2 for 2 another great workout.  Maybe next week I’ll swap Plyo for Cardio X, just to change things up a bit.

Breakfast:
2 Coffeee, splenda, ½ cup milk = 7 Net Carbs
Low Carb Vanilla Protein Shake, 4 strawberries, water, ice= 2 Net Carbs
Total Net Carbs: 9

Lunch:
Lean Italian Sausage 2 pcs, 1 tsp mustard= 0 Net Carbs
Salad, 4 grape tomatoes, 4 Kalamata olives, 1 tsp pesto = 4 Net Carbs
Total Net Carbs: 4

Dinner:
Lean Italian Sausage 2 pcs, 1 tsp mustard= 0 Net Carbs
Cubanelle peppers 2 fried = 3 Net Carbs
4 Kalamata olives = 0 Net Carbs

Total Net Carbs: 3

Snack:
1/2 cup Unsweetened Chocolate Almond milk = 1 Net Carbs
Sugar free Jello = 0
1 cup popcorn = 4 Net Carbs

Note to self:
SELF!!!  Yippee!!! I’m getting back in the swing of things.  Now if I can only hit my target.  I was doing great until my kids popped some popcorn tonight and I scooped a handful, the old me would’ve popped herself up a bag but the new me (well at least for this week) opted for a handful and then tracked it in my food log.

Oh ya one more thing...Holy Cow I can’t believe there’s 7 carbs in 1/2 cup of milk, that’s alot.  Tomorrow I’m going to try and drink my coffee without milk, I doubt I’ll enjoy it.

Loved it and I’m not sore…Yet!!  it feels great to workout again  and I’m being careful not to re-injure myself so I take it easy on my leg with certain moves.

Breakfast:
Coffee, splenda, milk = 7 net carbs
Low Carb Vanilla Protein Shake, 4 strawberries, water, ice= 2 net carbs
Total Net Carbs: 9

Lunch:
Lean Beef Burger (no bun) cajun spice, mustard= 1 net
Salad, 6 grape tomatoes, cucumber,6 Kalamata olives ,Oil & Vinegar = 7 net
Total Net Carbs: 8

Dinner:
LC Broccoli Soup =  8
Lean Italian sausages, spaghetti squash 8

Total Net Carbs: 16

Snack:
Halva 1 pc = 13
1/2 cup Unsweetened Chocolate Almond milk = 1
unsalted sunflower seeds = 4
Sugar free Jello = 0
7 Walnuts = 1
Mini sugar free freezie = 1

WOW I didn’t know nuts had so  much carbs, I’ll try better tomorrow

P90X Lean Schedule – Starting Tomorrow


So it’s been a few weeks now since I pulled my sciatica nerve in my left leg which has left me unable to do any exercise and I can’t take it any more.  Ya I know…I can’t believe I just said that.

S0 I decided that since the P90X Classic version is so intense with it’s weights etc I’m going to give the P90X Lean version a try, I chose Lean because it’s more cardio and less resistance for maximum weight loss.
Now I’m not saying that I’m wimping out because from what I can tell it’s no day at the spa.
It’s heavy on the cardio which is good since I’m hoping to get out of this plateau and start losing weight again.

So here’s what my schedule will look like for the next 90 days.

Update on my P90X and Low Carb Progress


Morning y’all,

I haven’t blogged in awhile about my progress regrading P90X and the Low Carb diet.    There’s hasn’t been much to update since I hurt my sciatica three weeks ago.  I did P90X workouts on Monday & Tuesday but Wednesday I found myself in so much pain I decided to lay off the P90X and workout in different ways.    Like spending 3 hours trimming trees in my backyard, ya that was fun…NOT!!!  Yesterday I went swimming with my kids and that was great, even worked on my tan a little 🙂

I did pamper myself with a pedicure which I did myself, my little piggies are pretty in pink.


As for my Low Carb diet and honestly I despise the word DIET, it’s “die” with a “T” on the end so I like to refer to this as my Low Carb way of life.


I’ve been doing really well this week, trying to make the right food choices, but I did slip this week and had some carbs.  But I’m not beating up myself with it.  This reminds me of the chat I had with a good friend who’s also Low Carbing and we both said how we’re enjoying the wonderful fruits of summer and how we’re having too much.  I said “It’s funny how our views have changed regarding what we now consider a cheat food, if having fruit is bad then we’re doing pretty good.”  We laughed.


I’ve been lacking in drinking my water.  I’m going to work on that today and stick to it the rest of the week.

I’ve also changed the look of my blog hope you like it.

Vacation ~ Food ~ Exercise ~ P90X


We’re here this week visiting my parents and it’s been great.

Yesterday I went to the gym with my sister and we had a really great workout.  It was nice to just chit chat, laugh and spend time together.  We’ve always got along great and I miss her company.

I’m still very sore with my sciatica that I pulled 2 weeks ago so P90X has been put on hold.

Yesterday’s workout consisted of:

Treadmill: 20 minutes


Swimming: 90 minutes


Sauna: 15 minutes

I was pushing myself on the treadmill and I felt the pain in my leg so the sauna felt great at the end of the workout.  Once we’re back home I plan on continuing where I left off with P90X.


I’ve been eating really good here thanks to my mom.

The other night she made pasta for everyone although it was tempting I decided to make a veggie stir fry so I was eating and not just staring at everyone while they had pasta.  Plus she also made some veal with mushrooms to go with that so I had that too.

Yesterday’s Menu:

Breakfast:
Coffee, Source Yogurt with a few blueberries and 2 Tb Bran cereal

Lunch:
Leftover veal with mushrooms

Dinner:
Bun-less burger, salad, veggie stir-fry zucchini, green pepper & onion

Snacks:
2 pc spicy cheese, cherries,  3 walnuts, 2 of mom’s almond biscotti

Swimming: 90 minutes
Sauna: 15 minutes

P90X Week 4- Day 24


These are the workouts for this week but I’m not sure if I’m able to do them.

Week 4:

Day 3 – Kenpo X
Day 4 – X Stretch

Well I can’t believe I’m still sore from that cartwheel I did a few days ago, I feel so old!!!

I’ve done 30 mins stretching daily anymore and it’s too painful.

We’ll be going out of town for a few days and I’m not sure if I’ll have Internet but if I do I’ll defiantly be posting.

Wish me luck with the diet since I won’t be in control of what goes on the table but I’ll do my best at making the right choices.
